West Acre also has extensive remains of an Augustinian Priory, in its day equal in splendour to Castle Acre. Although, the remains are on private property, some parts are available to view, the well-preserved Gatehouse together with views of a fine monastic barn, which is still in use today.

Attractive walks by the River Nar and its hinterland, West Acre offers some of the most attractive, tranquil and undulating countryside within the NarValley.

This website will bring you all the news and events being held in West Acre together with the parishes of East Walton and Gayton Thorpe, these villages also forming part of the West Acre Estate.
